About the Author

Resume

I tried to find a book to relate to growing up and struggled. I didn't want a book about why school was hard for me, I just wanted to read someone else's experiences to not feel as alone. I didn't have many friends that learned differently in my childhood. My parents worked really hard to help me to blend in with my peers. I appreciate all that they did for me and what they continue to do. It was in my senior year of high school where I realized that why not write my own book for others to connect to? I kept waiting for the right book but that wasn't getting me anywhere. It was especially hard to find the right book because I don't love to read which may sound funny since I wrote a book. This is one of the reasons I created some pictures that the main character or his friends along the way drew to help give my readers a brain break. I found it sad that as I got older the pictures in books seemed to stop. I do agree that allowing my imagination to form the images that the author is writing is fun, it's just that once in a while it is nice to give my brain and break and see exactly what the author was saying and then compare it to the image in my mind. The two images that are created are usually different, but to me, that is the fun part. I get to see another person's way of processing and share how I saw the picture coming together.
